Pros

Absolutely Perfect for wings!!, August 29, 2022 5 stars

Pros
Cuts very nicely. Creates beautiful texture for wings

Cons

Other Thoughts
Wow! Outstanding glass for insect wings. You get all sorts of scale detail, without teeny-tiny cuts. The glass is frosted with transparent squiggles that look like silver in certain light. Absolutely stunning!

Brass Supercutter

Perfect in its simplicity, May 9, 2022 5 stars

Pros
Scores like a champion. Has a long, pencil-like grip with a semi-swiveling head. The head is replaceable.

Cons
None.

Other Thoughts
I wish I’d discovered this sooner.

Zephyr + Diamond Ring Saw

Forever Friend, May 9, 2022 5 stars

Pros
I’ve had this saw for years. It never lets me down. I use it to make impossible cuts and rough cut in “holes” for gems. Priceless.

Cons
As all saws, it requires regular maintenance. Keep replacement rubber guides, a replacement fuse, and a replacement belt at home.

Diamond Elite Band Saw

Item# 738002

Finicky, May 9, 2022 3 stars

Pros
The width of the blade cut is perfect. This saw is a must-have if you want multiple pieces of glass cuts to match up perfectly (as in the lines of a sky or feathers.)

Cons
It’s finicky and requires precision tuning.

Other Thoughts
Replace those little screw with stainless screws. The ones used will rust and seize up.

Studio Pro Band Saw Replacement Blade

Durable, May 9, 2022 5 stars

Pros
Cuts beautifully, fits properly, plenty of diamond bits for long wear.

Cons
None

Canfield 60/40 Solder - 1 lb.

Item# 5471

Smooth, flawless, May 9, 2022 5 stars

Pros
The quality of this solder shows in the finished work. You’d think that all solders would give the same end result, but I find this one flows and finishes better than others.

Cons
A little pricier than others.

Easy-Cut Lens Cutter

Item# 7991

Love at first cut, January 28, 2022 4 stars

Pros
Beautifully perfect circles

Cons
You have to hold your glass in place so it doesn’t move. Make sure your cutting wheel is screwed in tight or it will move.

Other Thoughts
I can finally cut perfect circles with ease. It feels like freedom to me.

3/16" Edco Silver Backed Foil - 1.0 Mil

Item# 42827

Top of the Line, January 28, 2022 5 stars

Pros
Consistent quality. Consistent adhesive.

Cons

Other Thoughts
I wouldn’t use anything else. I’ve tried all the others, and this is the one for me.
