Wow! Outstanding glass for insect wings. You get all sorts of scale detail, without teeny-tiny cuts. The glass is frosted with transparent squiggles that look like silver in certain light. Absolutely stunning!

I’ve had this saw for years. It never lets me down. I use it to make impossible cuts and rough cut in “holes” for gems. Priceless.

Cons
As all saws, it requires regular maintenance. Keep replacement rubber guides, a replacement fuse, and a replacement belt at home.

The width of the blade cut is perfect. This saw is a must-have if you want multiple pieces of glass cuts to match up perfectly (as in the lines of a sky or feathers.)

It’s finicky and requires precision tuning.

Replace those little screw with stainless screws. The ones used will rust and seize up.

You have to hold your glass in place so it doesn’t move. Make sure your cutting wheel is screwed in tight or it will move.

Lays the foil incredibly flat and smooth. Effortlessly seeks the foil to the glass.

Cons
The crimping isn’t ideal. I don’t even bother using that end.

Other Thoughts
I have this listed as one of my “couldn’t do without” tools. Use it on the glass edge, then use it on the flat of the glass after smoothing with your first for an incredible smooth foil. Your soldering lines will thank you for it.

- The LED light is the best in the business. It shines exactly where you need it with no shadows - Quiet! Compared to my old grinder, this sure is easier on the ears - Easy of changing grinder bits. I frequently change the size of my bits to accommodate curves and add gems to a panel. This makes that chore so much quicker.

Cons
- It’s a bit on the pricey side, but for me, it’s worth every cent.
