Great bare wire, October 31, 2015 5 stars
Pros
No coating
Cons
None

I like bare wire and this one does what I need it to do. Sine it is bare it will take liver of sulphur quite well. I once bought copper wire and made 15 necklaces and to my horror it would not patina because it was coated to prevent oxidation, and the label did say it was bare. Atleast I know this one really is. You should add this to your collection of wire. Get as many sizes as you can. I suggest 16, 18, 20, and 22.

Pros
Flows well and takes patina

Too bad lead free does not behave like this stuff. I use it quite a bit and find that it use it for many of my projects where lead is not an issue. I think you will like this solder. Buffs to a nice shine!

Hand block of whatever it is, October 31, 2015 5 stars
Pros
You can carve into it
Cons
Very dusty
Other Thoughts
I got this thinking it was something else. It's heavy and chalky. It became useful when I needed to solder some odd shaped glass. I carved a groove into it with a screwdriver and it was easy to do. Since it is useful to me I recommend it.

I love this solder, October 31, 2015 5 stars
Pros
Sets up really fast
Cons
None
Other Thoughts
I like this solder because of it low melt temp. Some of the things I make require different temps of solder. If I were to use a higher melting one at the last step of my project the whole thing would fall apart. This lets me add the finishing touches without disater. I recommend this product if you need a quick set low temp solder.

Overrated, September 1, 2015 3 stars
Pros
Lead free.
Cons
My gripe with this solder is that you read all over in literature, books and the web how great this solder is in terms of shine, flow, etc. I find that it flows poorly, does NOT shine and does not take Novacon patina as well as I would like it to. Also, that it has silver in it is questionable being that silver melts at 1763F. Maybe it does have silver. I have never found any literature stating that it does contain silver as in real silver. I have used other brands with far better results. I have used much less expensive with the same results. In short I bought this for the shine and it never shined for me.
Other Thoughts
I do not think I will ever buy this again, unless I find a way to make it shine. Polish does not help.

LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!, September 1, 2015 5 stars
Pros
Heats up FAST, and it heats down fast when you need the temp turned down a bit. It is light weight and a light blinks to let you know that it has reached the desired temp. It's lightweight and not clunky like ever other iron I have used. The tip stays cleaner that any other iron I have used. This is hands down the BEST soldering iron on the planet.
Cons
No cons here.
Other Thoughts
I use this with Mastercraft 60/40 and can not ask for a better combo. You get a nice thick seam when the iron is at 310 C. If you need a more liquid thinner solder heat up to 360 C. For years I have tried to find the magic combo and this is it. I solder sea glass, cabachons, anything I can get copper foil around. I love my iron sooo much!
