Glows for hours, December 3, 2017 5 stars
Pros
This isn't the weak glow like you find in cheap plastic stars, I could READ by the light of the vial I put this in to carry it with it charging up just sitting on top of my workspace. Also, very much a bluish aqua color, not the green you get with those.
Cons
It comes in a small plastic zipper baggie, that will gladly leak if you don't put it in a more durable container. It doesn't fuse in and of itself, very much an inclusion, and when put in the bottom of a mold (mixed with clear powder as per instructions) it did leave a rough texture.
Other Thoughts
Be careful how you use it, a little goes a LONG way. Also it's not clear itself, and behind "white" opal glass it couldn't get enough light to glow much so too thick will waste it, and on the back of a super thick piece you'll loose some utility. But I used this in light switch cover, and it worked great. Used it with some paperweights, worked great.

very versitile, December 3, 2017 5 stars
Pros
Uniform, plenty of length. Just the right width for soda bottles. The neck of the center bottle fits perfectly in my hand (thumb on top, think artist's palette) to act as a handle, if it weren't so heavy it'd be a great cocktail plate.
Cons
the way to get them to stick together, requires that they be pushed up into bottle shoulder area, so the end tends to slump low enough that it doesn't really hold anything in on that end... which can mean snacks spilling out on your table.
Other Thoughts
I was worried this wouldn't work in terms of bottles with different COE sticking to each other, so I've been sticking to one brand of soda per holder, and it's been great. They over lap just enough to form a good bond. I've even been able to use this for single bottles on their own. Keep meaning to try just 2 next to each other, but haven't had a good chance.

not as a good a bargain as I'd hoped, September 27, 2016 2 stars
Pros
random variety to try, challenges creativity
Cons
These are scraps, and as just a way to try out a quick sample, okay, but because they're left overs (read: edges where the dicro is weaker) the small chunks of pattern ended up as much frustrating as anything. Either the pappern was so small most of the slide is nothing or the pattern is so large you can't get a full single section to use. I'd much rather use a small hole punch and normal slide to make my own dots and not have them fad into obscurity half way though a piece that's not large enough to cover my 3/4" by 2" pendant b/c the angle the original person wanted to use.
Other Thoughts
This would work for some one wanting lots of no random looking but random seeming mismash. What works for solid colors doesn't play out with the patterns so much.

Bright and easy to work with, September 27, 2016 4 stars
Pros
this is easier to work with than loose powder, you can cut it to shape, though paper punches had a bit of trouble getting though it, it did hold up well on the skinny parts. The glow is quite bright and long lasting. Just walking it from car to shop was bright enough to see the glow inside.
Cons
Much thicker than dicro or enamel slide, the shapes appear patchy or like baby swiss up close. Also, if left uncapped it's quite textured.
Other Thoughts
Bright enough to show though cathedrals if charged in bright light.

Did you design the pattern yourself? I love the lines!

high impact low cost, August 31, 2015 5 stars
Pros
At a much lower price point than dicro, you can get a very interesting effect over a large area without breaking the bank. Melds like a clear (seams disappear from above, though still visable from below) and I've never had ANY issue with annealing or haze even with multiple firings -- though the longer it's in the more the flecks will move as per my experience with pattern bars. I do get movement from the flecks, so capping will give a GREAT depth effect, but just layering it with clear underneath and hitting a full fuse will help develop the sparkle effect.
Cons
WARNING: This color can affect others being fired. 2 separate pieces fired at different times, to different temps both near the Aventurine Green in their respective firings were effected in my experience thus far. I ended up with metallic sheen on the purple sections of purple/white OpalArt being slumped. And purple enamel on white (but not on the black of the same piece) became an olive green on the end nearest the aventurine piece during a full fuse. Also I sometimes try to use kiln paper for a second firing to save money, but the aventurine will discolor it yellow the first time.
Other Thoughts
The scraps make great globs, reminiscent of black opals, but in a single layer it doesn't flow well, and they will retain shape to a degree. Avent. globs are my absolute favorite for bubble control. It is rough, and not as sparkly without being fired. So it's not as great for stained glass (the green will transmit light unlike the blue or black) as I'd like. But if you have the kiln room, put it in on a slump. The texture will still be slightly present but much easier to cut. Trying to put up a pic, if it goes, slump is the longer bar and the shorter is a full double layer.
