I love the simple elegance of the roseate spoonbill, and the way they 'fish' for the shrimp that make their feathers turn such a lovely shade of pink. :)
This 16" x 16' mosaic was created with various shades of gray and blue Bullseye glass (not fused) that I cut into shapes that reflect the movement of calm water for the surrounding background. I used multiple layers of pink Wasser glass, fused together to create the roseate spoonbill's body. I fused multiple, single-layered glass for the reflection of the spoonbill below it. The sides are also enhanced with white Bullseye glass strips that were grouted around for a smooth finish.
Thank you for considering my mosaic!

It is beautiful. When I pulled up the other pics, I could see that there was no pattern? For me, that is amazing. It is lovely.
