Description:
This window is 36" in diameter. Made as a memorial window commissioned for a parishoner at Calvary Episcopal Church in downtown Memphis Tennessee, It incorporates several aspects of the memorialized persons life in the church. It is installed in the sacristy where the Altar Guild prepares the Holy sacraments for the services. the center represents the altar table . On it is a chalice of wine and next to it the bread. This is all painted and fired into the glass as is other shading of various parts of the window. There is also the use of layering of glass upon glass to give a different perspective. Behind the chalice and bread are some easter lillies. In the circle around all this is glass in colors representing the church year with various symbols and important representations of the life of the person to which the window is dedicated.
