Glass Log Cabin AmberLyn's STG

This cabin is all glass. I designed and made this myself. It took many, many hours to make. I had to make all of the furniture patterns out of card paper and put them together  first, and then tweek the patterns before making them in glass.  The rocking chairs are perfectly balanced and rock.  All of the furniture is not attached, so it can be moved around. Then a client, (Linwood)  that used to make doll houses out of wood taught me how to wire it and light it up. Each lamp has a bulb, over the kitchen stove, on the ceiling and behind the fire in the fireplace. I wanted the "open beams" so I made a loft for the bedroom with the spiral starcase.(I studied many spiral stair cases in order to make this one)  The roof has two large "sky lights".  The outside is finished as well with green shutters. The inside windows have green valances and the loft windows have curtains matching the bed.  (all in glass)  For the evening photos, it is also back lit. Besides what you can see well in the photos, is a bookcase in the back left corner and a long table behind the spiral staircase.  There are also fire place tools made out  of copper wire, and a wood  bin with (glass) wood in it. I suffered many minor burns doing this one!  It is the size of a doll house, although this one is for adults!
