Dunlin and Painted Snipe

This was made for a tall master bedroom window. As a keen bird-watcher, the owner wanted two of his favorite species depicted so he could view them every morning! The Dunlin is a small wader that likes to flock on mudflats and coastal beaches. The Painted Snipe nests in reedy swamps and marshes.

How lucky to go bird-watching everyday!

The outer frame and middle divider is soldered with zinc canes and  the rest are soldered with lead canes.
