Description:
I designed this window as my first "real" project while taking an adult education class in beginners stained glass. I used Photoshop to create my pattern and adjusted it as I cut my glass. My goal was to create a privacy window in warm tones to fit inside the narrow frame of a modern replacement window. The design was constrained by the two permanent white decorative bars that were between the double panes of the window--I did not want them to block the light once the panel was installed, so I designed the panel to be divided into thirds, with zinc channels in front of the false bars. It bears all the flaws of a beginner, but I was very pleased by how it turned out and am hoping to make complimentary panels for other windows of my home.
