A friend asked me if I would make a stained glass wall hanging for their church.
After some research I made this original design. This is the copper foil technique, using mostly Spectram opal and green and gold VanGogh.
I fused a grape and clear system 96 glass to make the grapes, and then foiled them separately and attached them, giving them a 3-D look.
It is supported on the edges using copper u-channel.
I also used copper reinforcing strips for overall stability.
The overall size is 21x42 inches.
