Description:
This handblown glass vase measures approximately 7.5" in height by 3.25" in diameter and is created with corn yellow opaque glass and blue Murrine.
Murrine is an Italian term for coloured patterns made in a glass cane (long rods of glass) that are revealed when cut in cross-sections.
Different colors of molten glass are layered on a metal rod, then heated and stretched out into a long glass cane. When cool, the cane is sliced into cross-sections of desired thickness with each slice possessing the same pattern in cross-section.
