Fused Bowl by PAT

This bowl is made completely of 90 coe glass.  The top layer of glass for this bowl is a clear blank, and I fit together pieces of glass like a jigsaw puzzle for the bottom layer.  The  bowl has a 10" diameter.  After full fusing the bowl blank, I leveled all edges on my Bevel Max  I put the blank back into the kiln & tack-fused pieces of stringer on top.  Next,  I slumped the blank into a steel bowl mold.  After this firing, I turned the bowl upside down and coldworked the edges on my GlassMaster Crystal Grinder.  The bowl is sitting in a handcrafted blacksmith bowl stand, that I had made for me by a Colorado  blacksmith.  The dark ring that can be seen through the bottom of the bowl is part of this blacksmithed stand.
