Honeymoon Sunset

This stilt house is called the Thomas Guest House and is known locally in Cedar Key as the honeymoon cottage. Built in the 1950's, there used to be a dock leading out to it. After a storm destroyed the dock, people continued to go out to the cottage by boat. The structure still remains (at the end of 2010), and is frequented by pelicans, cormorants and other birds, but it is generally accepted that the next good storm that hits Cedar Key will make it but a memory.
