Portland Lighthouse

This is an old window frame that measures 24" X 41" . I replace the glass with my version of the Portland Lighthouse in South Portland Maine. It is made of Bullseye fused glass.

Each pane measures 10" X 12" The sky pane is 2 layers of glass, the rock panes are 5 layers of glass. The whole window weights 36 pounds. The frame is reinforced to support the weight.

 It was baked to perfection with a partial fuse. To get the detail of the railing I carefully melted stringers to the correct shape. A round dicro glass makes the light shine. When the piece is back lit, it changes the wonderful sky to explode evern more.
