Sacred Geometry

Inspired by renaissance artists (like da Vinci) who used sacred geometry to provide an underlying structure to their works of art in order to create balance and “intuitively pleasing” products, I overlaid a 5-point star (symbolizing protection) with an 8-point star (symbolizing abundance).  All lines of the mosaic fall along the geometrical lines of these stars, with the exception of the circle in the center, which pulls everything together in a reflected (mirrored) “completeness.”  Deep hues of primary colors were used with various types of glass to encapsulate all possible colors (through the combination of primary colors) and a variety of textures to create a sense of wholeness as well.
