I decided to tackle a large project as my second attempt at stained glass work. Here is a picture of the large window installed in the house behind the existing permanent window at a stair landing located above the front door. The window is approximately 75" high by 30" wide and it is made entirely of Delphi glass products. There is a 2" border of clear bevels of various lengths around the entire window and it measures around 15 square feet. I took a door design out of my instructor's book, scanned the image into my computer and took it to a local FedEx business office to have the templates made in the correct size and proportion. The glass project has a red oak, quarter sawn frame around it for protection and ease of handling. I started the project before Thanksgiving and finished it a couple of weeks ago. Since it has been raining here lately, I included more than one picture so you would be able to see it better.
Thank you for hosting this contest.
