"Daphne"

"Daphne" in Greek Mythology is a story about a woman who asked her father to turn her into a tree rather than be pursued by a man she did not love. This is my interpretation of "Daphne."

The piece is approximately 7 feet tall. The stump os an Arbutus tree burl. The glass figure is fused glass. The branches are made from copper tubing and hand cut, and burnished copper sheeting.
