Description:
I had an unfortunate break-in and robbery at my outdoor retail store recently. The tempered glass in the front door was smashed, however during clean up, I noticed wonderful elegantly wavy, long strips of glass that just begged to be saved from the dumpster. I arranged these long slender shards almost as I had found them. They were tack fused and slumped on a graceful stainless steel mold along with two other glass pieces. I used Spectrum, steel blue and clear, Baroque glass as the base, on which I sand (also recycled) blasted some oval water droplet details. Since I used non-complatible glass, each wave was suspended above the other using antique (also recycled) Czechoslovakian faceted glass jewels glued in place.
