Description:

Created in the Tiffany copper foil method of stained glass, this star suncatcher is perfect for displaying in your window.

Rough Rolled red, white, and blue glass was used, the glass as a texture to it which reflects the light brilliantly.

Finished size is 8 inch x 8 inch

All glass was hand cut, wrapped in copper foil, and soldered using 60/40 solder made in the USA from pure materials. Finishing of the piece included thorough cleaning, pewter patina, and handwaxing. This finishing process produces sparkling glass and shiny solder lines.

The star is ready to hang with an installed chain and suction cup.

This same star can be made in a myriad of color combinations. Send me message if you would like to design your custom star.

@ While I'm not certain where you could get the exact design shown here, many glass artists find that quilt block patterns offer fantastic designs to create in glass. You may be able find a similar pattern for a geometric star or pinwheel amongst the many free stained glass and quilt block designs that can be found online. For similar projects that have already been adapted for glass, you may want to consider the pattern books "Starbursts" or "Starcatchers" available in our online shop.
