Description:

This is an 8 x 10 frit and flip fused glass cat with a metal plate and hanger on the back for attaching to the wall.  It is hanging in my entree.

The process was explained in a class I took from Richard LaLonde of Washington State.  It was several steps including outlining the object we were making with a pasty glass squeezed from a plastic bottle.  Then filling the outline with the appropriate colors of 50% powder and 50% fine frit.  It was done on the 6mm clear glass.  The whole piece was covered with white 50% frit and 50% powder, then fired.  After the first firing, I flipped the glass over and fired again.  Whatever is fired shows up in reverse so it is especially essential to see what the picture looks like in reverse.

I get lots of compliments on the several cats images I have painted with frit.
