Blue Heron Garden Sprinkler

0 loves
Description:

I found this pattern in The Stained Glass Garden book by George W. Shannon and Pat Torlen. This turned out beautiful and was donated for a charity auction. The most difficlt part was the different melting tempratures of lead and copper. The challenge was attatching the lead bound bird to the copper sprinkler without melting the lead to get the copper hot enough to solder. What a challenge!

@elsierao Hi, I know I am responding to an old post but I would like to ask if you ever found out how to assemble the blue heron sprinkler. I am working on one right now and it's starting to look good but I am unable to continue as the instructions are not very clear to me. I don't want to give up so hopefully you will be able to help me. Thank you

I enter a comment but did not enter the letters below so forgive me if this is a repeat. I am trying to make this sprinkler and can't figure out how the pieces go together. I see the first picture of 6 11 13 15 17 but can't go much beyond that. How do the pieces fit together? Does 4 overlao on 5? Any gudicance you can give will be greatly appreciated. I did appreciate all the comments about the soldering.I just wish I could get to that step!!!!
