My inspiration for this piece came from a crazy quilt which traditionally is made from scraps of fabric which are assembled then embelished. In order to capture the essence of a crazy quilt I created it in a very similar fashion. I cut up pieces of dichroic without a set pattern allowing the design to reveal itself as I worked. The dichroic glass creates a fantastic effect as the colors change in different light conditions and when viewed from different angles. As a final touch I added delicate millefiori pieces simulating embroidered accents. This took many days of labor and multiple firings but it was worth it!
It measures 11.25 x 11.25 x 1.25 inches (28.6x28.6x3cm).

Really loved your project. Can I assume you covered dicroic with clear, and was that before or after you added the miilefore?
