Retro Rods

This geometric linear dish was first fused flat using strips of brightly colored System 96 glass alternating with rods on top of clear. All pieces were designed and hand cut by the artist. The flat square was then slumped into a 8" drop out ring using 1" kiln stilts underneath the mold. The result was a curvy, smooth form that is suprisingly bold and unique in both composition and excecution.
