My Country

This plate was fused using clear glass of 1/4 inches of thickness and colored by enamels yellow, blue and red. For made the face was use a mold and around the face was use a fiber ceramic to create the effect of cotton around that. Also to made the stars in the flag and in the back of the plate was made with sandblasting. The diameter is aprox 15". All pieces were designed and cut by the artist. For the artist this plate represented the actual situation in her country (The colours of the flag break represented Venezuela), and how VENEZUELA (the face), want that her sons will be together again.
