Persian Rug Inspired Chest

This design was based on a Persian rug hanging in the client's guest room. We selected the best/favorite elements of the rug, which I photographed and hand-transferred to the top of the chest. The chest itself was a wreck and had to be hand-stripped, refinished, and a new concrete board top was cut to fit. The flowers in the trees are glass beads from the hobby shop. All other stained glass was custom cut for the design. I lost track of the hours it took to complete at about 40.
