Carnivale, Brazil

This was part of a series of kiln-formed glass carnivale masks and additional art glass pieces that I completed for a restaurant in Las Vegas, Nevada. The restaurant is located in an area in which the surrounding community is not often exposed to fine art; the response from the community has been overwhelming. I have been sung to, thanked, hugged, cried on and applauded since installing these works and still feel that the greatest gift has been seeing the community react so beautifully to the art. I am eternally grateful for this opportunity and strive to create something beautiful every day.
