Earthsong

My inspiration is often derived from nature, as is the case with Earthsong. This composition emerged after viewing various aerial photographs of deltas, one of which being a photo I shot from a float plane in Alaska. I was drawn to the beautiful shapes created by the juxtaposition of earth and water. It is a combination of glass, stones, ceramic tile and found objects measuring 24"x24". I am fairly new to the mosaic medium and Earthsong is my second piece. It was completed in 2007.
