Dish Daisies

I was inspired to created this 24" x 36" panel after I donated a smaller piece to a Goodwill fund raiser in Ohio called RecreArted--to create a piece of art by incorporating old with new. After shopping at antique and second-hand stores, I ended up with quite a collection of dishes, crystals from chandeliers and various other glass gems. I love flowers and the dishes seemed to fit that purpose along with bold-colored background glass. Construction is somewhat tricky since the dishes have different depths and have to be soldered last and very carefully. My ring saw also came in very handy.
