Dragonfly

An original design, my best dragonfly work yet; the double-faceted bevels really make this piece standout (I'll never use standard bevels again!). The dragonfly shape is based on an original photograph of a dragonfly laden with dew in early morning; the vein work on the wings is my design as well. Panel measures 8-inches square, consisting of two pieces-the 1-inch wide outer frame and the dragonfly mounted to it. A photo does not do this piece justice at all. I design pieces that are unique and visually interesting by making pieces two dimensional rather than a flat single pane.
