El Sol

The focal point of this design is a stunning multidimensional antique Model T after market headlight lens, which we found at a flea market. In fact, you can still read the imprint around the edge: "Werner Lenz Patent June 25 1912." My wife Stephanie loves to play with bevels. She designed this entire piece using the lens, extra bevels, and a variety of clear scrap glass pieces, with the solar system as her inspiration. I leaded it and created the piece from her design.
