I like to use old windows as a canvas. In this case the twisted trunk in swirls of various browns leads up to leaves done in faceted glass of yellow, red and orange. I wanted the tree to be the center piece so, the background is simple geometric shapes. I prefer crushed glass to grout, as it sparkles and highlights. Finally the piece is banded with a thin iron belt, and welded with to simple hooks for hanging.
