Description:
This paperweight was created in a glassblowing studio using sheet glass for the white petal, green frit for the bottom of the flower, and yellow rod encased in clear to create the stamen. It is about 4 inches tall and about 2 inches at its widest diameter. The white sheet glass was heated up in the glory hole using a pastorale, and was wound around the center clear egg shaped part with the stamen already inside, and then a hot bit of green was applied to the bottom, and a last layer of clear encased it all. It was fun to make!
