Celestial Music

The Italian Rennaisance was my inspiration for this angel mosaic. I used several types of glass to imitate the look and feel of  fabric in the robe. I used mirror glass and iridescent glass in the robe and wings as accents. The only parts of the piece that are not glass are the lute strings which are painted on with glass paint and the lute hole which is a brass filigree piece .The face was the most difficult part and took me over two days just to select, cut, and glue the glass for it.
