Calle Maria Felix Fired Glass Pendant

Maria Felix, a very famous Mexican actress, was born here in Alamos. Her old hacienda has been turned into a charming inn. This piece represents my interpretation of a window at the inn.

Calle Maria Felix is  several layers of dichroic glass on both a black and clear blue base. If you hold the pendant to the light, you can see through the edges. It has alot of texture to it. There is so much you can do with tacked glass. It is truly my favorite medium. I like to just put all the pieces together, in the pattern I like and then, let the glass do it's thing.
