Church Windows, Fruita, Colorado

These eight panels were church windows that I designed and built for a church in Fruita, Colorado. They total approximately 68 square feet and took about 7 months to complete once the final design was agreed on. They were not on an outside wall so they are backlit.  Some of the panels are combination foiled and lead and I reinforced them using brass-reinforced lead. I used glass globs in the bottom of the waterfall, which gave it a very interesting effect. The church wanted a nature scene depicting Colorado's beautiful magesty. I also incorporated Columbine flowers (the state flower) and aspen trees.  I was really pleased with the final results. And so was the church!
