Molossus

 A Grecian hunting dog known as the molossus. They were said to be very large and strong, with some legends stating they were capable of taking on lions in the Roman circi. Even today, it's said that their descendants live on in the form of the mastiff and bull dog breeds, who, along with the others, are called the molosser dog breeds.
