Description:

This is an end table I refinished then used cut stained glass panels to do the mosaics. All of the glass was cut by me from 12 x 12 panels. I used real pressed flowers under clear glass for her tiara. I used the opus circumactum pattern for the background (water). I tried to shaped the fish tail tiles as scales. For the grout I used black unsanded for the mermaid tail and the small fish: then used sanded for everything else. The hair was the hardest to cut since I was trying for hair-like tiles. Kraft-kote was used on the tail and small fish to protect the grout and add that 'sheen-like effect'.
