Rose's Bench

This is a memorial stained glass bench on concrete that I made for a long-time friend. It has many things that represent her and the things that she loved: the mountains that we hiked in, the ocean that we camped at, her family, her friends, teaching and nature. The 3 trees represent friendship, family and wisdom. Her friends, and family gave me charms and things to include in the mosaic. The roses on the sides of the bench are there because her name was Rose. She was a consummate teacher so I used the  quote "Speak to the earth and it will teach thee." She loved teaching outdoors and in the Santa Monica Mountains.
