Paisley Gazing Ball

 The focus on each piece I create is to learn a new process; in this case there were two processes - cutting with a saw and cracking the glass as it was mounted.  The base of this gazing ball was my mother's bowling ball and is mounted with what I thought was opaque glass.  I now know the difference, since mounting on a very dark surface and using charcoal grout definitely mutes the colors and play of light!
