Blue Rider Arts (Logo)

The Blue Rider Arts logo is an illustrative interpretation of our company name which derives from Der Blaue Reiter group, an Abstract Expressionist group led by Wassily Kandinsky, Alexej von Jawlensky, Marianne von Werefkin, and native German artists such as Franz Marc, August Macke, Paul Klee, and Gabriele Munter. Der Blaue Reiter movement lasted from 1911 to 1914 and was fundamental to Expressionism together with Die Brucke (founded in 1905).

Living by the sea, in Dorset, with the second largest harbour in the world in Poole, and the World Heritage site, the Jurassic Coast, I am heavily influenced by my environment, and Blue Rider Arts seemed to be a natural name for my company, combining my love of Expressionism with that of the coast and countryside which surrounds me.
