Description:

I covered an antique fire hydrant retired by my city with crescents of ten colors of glass.   The mosaic technique I used retains the uniqueness of the hydrant and allowed me to use glass, my favorite medium. The hydrant is being auctioned off to benefit a new dog park that is in development in my community.
