Sounds of the Past

This is a iunique combination of fused glass and wood.  Red, clear and blue glass have been "drop fused" to create the glass design.  The glass was then mounted on a thick center cut piece of a Florida tree trunk . A groove was hand cut into the wood to provide a resting place for the glass. The wood was then varnished to bring out the natural beauty of the wood.  The resemblance to an old time phonograph inspired the name of this piece of art.
