Description:
The angel measures about 17” x 21.5” (in the walnut frame it is about 19 x 24). The panel uses Copper foil and lead came. I adapted the pattern from the Winter 2012 GPQ that was designed by Anna Danowska. I changed the proportions of the pattern so that I could use the bevels and outside border. I also changed the top part of the wings from the pattern to what it looks like in the picture in GPQ so that cutting the glass was easier and a better look. I added a few other lines and moved the rose closer to the angel. I further added a few more pieces to the rose to bring the total number of pieces (red and green) to 26. I made this piece as a memorial for the lost lives in the shooting at the elementary school in Sandy Hook. I titled this as “When Angels Weep: Remembering Sandy Hook”.
