Mediterranean Sun Mirror (Lauren Bursky)

Mediterranean Sun Mirror is a beautiful, unique and exotic oversized stained and dichroic fused glass mirror that attracts the attention of all who see it. Created with textured clear glass, stained glass, and fused dichroic glass, the pattern reminds one of the Mediterranean sun with orbs of light being emitted through the many shades of red, gold, and clear glass patterns in the frame. By bending and hand hammering copper wire a flowing energy exudes throughout the piece. Dichroic pieces of glass have been fused and delicately placed within the frame to create a gem-like quality that adds excitement and vibrancy. To create additional visual interest, the wood frame has been hand painted in gold and silver abstract patterns and layered in textured clear glass on top of the acrylic paints to create this exquisite mixed media wall mirror. The size of the piece is 32" in diameter.
