Landscape of Love

This was a wedding present for my son and his wife. They both like to rock climb and now live in Newfoundland, which is called "The Rock". So it seemed appropriate to have a rock face near water. The two red pieces represent their hearts. The lower figure is an Inukshuk, a rock formation whose arms point toward shelter or a safe harbor. Their marriage is like a safe harbor that is built upon a solid foundation. The Northern Lights are to remind them to bring out the beauty in one another - encouraging their partner to be the best person they can be. The "Landscape of Love" scene is made up of many small pieces that represents their new life together. They will each offer different attributes to their marriage that when pieced together represent the landscape of their partnership. This creation was made with love for the two of them.... a love that will never fade. For as many years that the sun will shine through the glass pieces, the glass will never fade either. May the new couple's love for one another continue to grow.
