Dark Fountain

This is a 3D fountain made up of two splashes. One measures 16 inches tall one measures 9 inches. They sit in a wood base that measures 12 x 10 x 1 inches. Each piece of glass has stain that was fired on and enamel that was baked on. They were then soldered together along with glass marbles and discs using copper foil and various sizes of copper wire. The base has copper laminated to it in places and solder and wire added to it to mimick flowing water. A black patina is then applied to the soldered areas and sanded off in places to make sparkles.The base has many coats of black enamel around the copper areas. The glass fountains were waxed and buffed several times with carnauba wax.
