Woodland Fairy

This is a one of a kind glass on glass mosaic that measures 19 x 28 inches including solid wood frame . Each piece of glass is meticulously cut, ground and shaped then glued to a piece of clear glass. baked on enamels and high fire stains are used for added detail. Seven separate stain mask firings were required to achieve the contours and shadows of the face, hands and feet. Clear glass discs and various shapes of glass and plastic beads are added for detail. The piece is finished with a beautiful green grout then the grout is sealed and the whole piece is waxed. This beautiful panel is framed and finished in a rich brown. the frame is hand made fron a strong wood so hooks can be used to hang it with chains in a window or can sit on a window sill as shown.
