Inner Flame

This piece symbolises hope in the form of a flame, bringing light and warmth into the cold and dark. The dark outer layers represent the burnt remnants left after fire. They are composed of a variety of natural stones combined with glass. The central component depicts the colours and shapes seen in a live flame. The tiles in this section were created by fusing layers of dichroic and iridescent glass, which were then cut into tiles. The cabochons used on the base were created by re-firing these tiles. The photo bomber is my cat 'Chiefy'
