"Congratulations and Best Wishes!"

The idea for this plate was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest but my design was adapted to include the clear border with the personalized kiln carved message and with the wedding dress designed to reflect my friend Steff's actual gown. Her dress has the sparkly belt and includes the diagonal ruching that I attempted to duplicate. My design took four firings, the first one to assemble the black and clear into a perfect background, the second full fusing to incorporate the kiln carved lettering, the third firing, tack, to attach the bride and groom attire, and finally the slumping, whew! (Shhh...it's a wedding present, don't tell!) 12"x12"
