My sister-in-law wanted something for her birthday and for her house in Wisconsin. Something with purples and small enough to hang alongside a stairway. I made an 18 x 28 inch panel, with purple Waterglass and glue-chip bevels (diamonds) and Crystal Ice for an inside border. I used a purple-mauve border into a zinc frame. This piece is fire and color at the same time. I cleaned the zinc frame thoroughly with 0000 steel wool, and applied solder to it after I soldered the entire piece. Using black patina, I was able to give the frame an antique look, and make it "disappear," highlighting the glass enclosed. This piece was a labor of love. I really like working with Waterglass.
